Goodbye 2010

Have you ever lived through a moment and felt as though you should have had some profound experience? As though there should be a definitive feeling when that moment or time occurs? I feel that with every new year, and every time it hits midnight, I feel exactly the same as I did at 11:59 and I will feel the same at 12:01. There is no welling up of whathaveyou, but, you know, that's okay. We find the profound and the life changing when we're not looking for it. It's not set to a calendar or clock.

2010 is now a memory, and I will soldier on into the new year and I will keep my eyes and mind open for the welling up of whathaveyou's. I will remember that time is not a line that forever stretches to the horizon, but a roundabout journey that will take us back where we started.

I hope you all have a wonderful year.

And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
We're captive on the carousel of time
We can't return we can only look behind
From where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game
